The Community & Integrated Development Directorate of Mayo County Council provides a range of new and innovative interventions and services within the Local Government system. The work of the Directorate broadened to include a range of various functions in 2002 and the importance of the function within the local Government system continues to developm and grow.
The Community & Integrated Development Directorate services the County Development Board (CDB). In this regard, the 10-year Strategy for Economic, Social and Cultural Development of County Mayo was published in July 2002. An Implementation Plan accompanied the Strategy, setting out 320 actions covering a broad range of all facets of development in Mayo. Since 2002 a number of Implementation Groups have been working on delivering this and subsequent (prioritised) implmentation plans.
