Community Fora also work as a network to enable the community and voluntary sector to articulate common concerns and agree county-wide responses to their particular needs.

The County Community Forum is the main consultative body from which community and voluntary representatives are elected to the Strategic Policy Committees (SPCs) , Social Inclusion Measures Working Group, Western Regional Drugs task Force and other Committees & Boards ( CCF Reps on Committees & Boards). This is the primary function of the Community Forum, to influence the development strategies and policies that are relevant to the community and voluntary groups here in Mayo.
